The ratchet lever hoist features compact design and robust, deep drawn, stamped steel construction. High quality materials ensure light weight without infringing reliability. The free chaining feature and the lightweight chain stop make the hoist easy to use.

The ratchet lever hoist offers the following features:

• Single handed free chaining feature: The load chain can be pulled freely and easily through the hoist in both directions to attach the load or to tension the chain. For safety reasons free chaining cannot be done when the hoist is under load.

• As in all Yale products only asbestos-free friction discs are used.
• Zink plated steel links chain in accordance with national standard/regulations.
• Drop forged steel suspension and load hooks are heat treated and fracture resistant. In case of dangerous overloading or abuse, the hook does not fracture but will slowly yield. Hooks can rotate 360 degrees and are fitted with safety latches as standard.
• The ultra strong solid latches can withstand side loading of up to 30% of the rated capacity on the latch itself.
• Overload protection device available as optional extra.

The SS11 has been designed and developed to be certified for safe use, and is therefore also suitable for most harsh and extreme applications.
It comes equipped with a unique dual brake mechanism that automatically engages when the lever hoist feels the slightest resistance on the bottom hook. This key feature means that the SS11 will raise, hold, and lower the lightest of loads without slipping. The two stage process protects against accidental light load failures caused by putting the hoist into neutral whilst under load.

The unique design features and anti-corrosion properties incorporated in the SS11 hoist range, including the one piece construction pinion gears, give it significant safety advantages over standard lever hoists, making the hoist the ideal tool for all marine, mining and other extreme applications.
